Relaxed, meaningful family photos that feel like you
Family Photography in Stony Plain, Spruce Grove, Parkland County & Edmonton
Family photos do not have to feel stiff, stressful, or perfectly posed.
At Coral Konanz Photography, family sessions are all about connection, movement, laughter, and capturing the little moments that make your family yours. Whether your kids are wild, shy, silly, snuggly, or all of the above, we’ll create a session that feels relaxed, fun, and true to your family.

Based in Parkland County, I photograph families in Stony Plain, Spruce Grove, Edmonton, and the surrounding areas.

Pets are always welcome
To me, pets are family too.
If your dog is part of your story, they are absolutely welcome at your family session. I have lots of experience working with pets of all personalities, from excited puppies to nervous dogs who need a little extra patience.
We can keep things relaxed, take breaks when needed, and work at your pet’s pace so everyone feels comfortable.
What to expect
Your session will be relaxed, guided, and never overly posed.
I’ll help with gentle direction, prompts, and movement so you are not left wondering what to do with your hands. We’ll capture a mix of smiling-at-the-camera photos, candid moments, snuggles, laughs, and all the little in-between moments that often become the favourites.
Before your session, I can help with location ideas, outfit guidance, and choosing the best time of day for beautiful light.
Family Sessions Designed Around You
Every family is different — and your session should be too.
Instead of fitting your experience into a one-size-fits-all package, your family session is designed around what you need. Whether you’re looking for something quick and simple or a more relaxed, full experience with extra time and variety, I’ll help guide you to the best option.
Sessions can take place either outdoors or in studio, depending on the look and feel you’re drawn to.
Outdoor sessions are perfect for natural light, open space, and those candid, playful moments, especially during golden hour.
Studio sessions offer a clean, timeless feel with a relaxed, controlled environment (and are a great option for little ones or pets who do best in a quieter space).
No matter which direction you choose, your session will be relaxed, guided, and focused on connection.
Favourite Family Photo Locations
Choosing the right location can completely shape the feel of your photos — and I’m always happy to help you decide what fits your family best. Over the years, I’ve found a handful of go-to locations around Parkland County and the Edmonton area that offer beautiful light, variety, and space for your family to relax and just be yourselves.
Here are a few favourites:
Wagner Natural Area: A dreamy, nature-filled location with tall trees, soft light, and a peaceful, woodsy feel — perfect for connection-focused sessions.
Chickakoo Lake: Open space, water views, and beautiful trails that work especially well for playful, candid family sessions.
Constable Chelsea Robinson Park: A mix of greenery, open space, and easy access — great for families with young kids or pets.
MacTaggart Sanctuary: Beautiful walking paths, tall grasses, and a mix of forest and open areas — perfect for a soft, natural, slightly elevated look.
Strathcona Science Park: A unique option with open fields, rolling hills, and a more rugged, earthy feel — especially stunning at sunset.
Studio Options:
If you’re drawn to a more clean, timeless look, or prefer something a little more controlled and weather-proof, studio sessions are a beautiful option as well. I offer sessions in my private Stony Plain studio, which is a calm, pet-friendly space designed to keep things relaxed and simple. I also have access to a variety of beautiful rental studios in Edmonton, each offering something a little different, from bright, natural light spaces to more styled environments. This gives us lots of flexibility to choose a space that fits your vision perfectly.
Already Have a Location in Mind:
I’m always open to new locations too , whether it’s a spot that’s meaningful to your family, your own property, or somewhere you’ve been dreaming about.
If you’re not sure what would work best, I’ll help guide you based on the look you love, the time of day, and how your family naturally connects.
Not sure which location is right for you?
I’ll help you choose the perfect spot based on your vision, lighting, and what will make your session feel the most natural.
