A photographer who believes the little moments matter most
About Coral Konanz
Spruce Grove, Stony Plain & Edmonton Area Family & Pet Photographer

Hi, I’m Coral — the photographer behind Coral Konanz Photography.
Welcome! I’m Coral Konanz, a Parkland County photographer serving the Edmonton, Stony Plain, and Spruce Grove area, specializing in pet photography, dog and owner portraits, lifestyle sessions, maternity photography, and empowering boudoir photography. My work is centered around connection, emotion, and authenticity capturing the moments and relationships that matter most.
My Story
Photography has always been part of my life, but it didn’t start as my full-time career.
For many years I worked in healthcare, but after COVID I realized how important it was to build a life that allowed me to spend more time with my family and pursue something that truly lit me up.
Taking the leap into photography changed everything.
Now I get to spend my days capturing real moments for families, couples, and pet lovers, documenting everything from growing families to quiet, in-between moments that often mean the most.
Because those are the moments that tell your story.
Why Pets Are Always Part of the Story
To me, pets are family.
They’re there for the big moments, the everyday routines, and everything in between — and they deserve to be part of your story too.
That’s why pets are always welcome in my sessions, whether we’re documenting a growing family, capturing a special milestone, or simply preserving a season of life you never want to forget — or creating something more timeless through The Pet Studio by Coral, a pet portrait experience.
Some of the most meaningful images come from the connection between people and their animals — the quiet looks, the excitement, the comfort.
Those are the moments I love capturing most.
Rescue Work & Giving Back
One of the most meaningful parts of my photography journey has been working with animal rescues.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of photographing adoptable dogs to help them find loving homes. High quality photos can make a huge difference for animals waiting in rescue, helping their personalities shine and creating connection before they’re even met in person.
I regularly work with local rescues and organizations like Pit Bulls for Life, and many of my fundraising sessions are designed to give back to dogs still waiting for their second chance.
I’ve also adopted two incredible dogs through rescue myself, which makes this work especially close to my heart.
When needed, I’m happy to bring the studio to the rescue. I’ve been known to set up a mobile photography setup at shelters, foster homes, or events to photograph adoptable animals and help them stand out.
If you are a rescue organization, foster, or know of a rescue that could use help photographing their adoptable animals, I would love to hear from you.
Helping these animals be seen is something I care deeply about.

What It’s Like to Work With Me
My sessions are designed to feel easy, natural, and a little bit like organized chaos, in the best way.
I don’t believe in stiff posing or forcing moments. Instead, I guide you just enough so that real connection can happen.
Kids can run.
Dogs can be goofy.
You don’t have to know what to do.
I’ve got you.
Whether we’re documenting your family with a new baby, capturing your dog’s personality, or celebrating a season of life you never want to forget, my goal is to create images that feel like you.
A Few Fun Things About Me
• I’m a mom of two amazing kids
• Happily married for 15 years
• Proud dog mom to two incredible pups
• My camera bag always has beef liver treats and a squeaky toy
• I run on iced green tea most days
• I’m way more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it (so I promise, I get it)
• You’ll usually find me camping, exploring, or heading for the mountains whenever I can
• I’ll probably show you the back of my camera and say “OMG, LOOK AT THIS”
And if you’re feeling a little nervous about being in front of the camera, you’re not alone. I’ve been there too, and I’ll guide you every step of the way so it feels easy and natural.
Why This Matters
The little moments don’t stay little forever.
The way your dog looks at you.
The chaos of your kids.
The quiet in-between moments you didn’t even realize were important.
These are the things that make up your story.
And they deserve to be remembered.
Let’s Capture Your Story
The little moments don’t last forever, but the photos can.
If you’re looking for a photographer who will make you feel comfortable, welcome your pets like family, and capture the moments that matter most…
I would love to work with you.
Not sure where to start? I’m always happy to help you plan the perfect session.
