Meet the Photographer

Hey, my name is Coral Konanz

If you’ve found your way here, chances are you love meaningful moments, genuine connections, and maybe even a few four-legged family members who deserve their own spotlight. Photography has become such an important part of my life, and this blog is a space where I can share the stories behind the images, the experiences I create with my clients, and the moments that make this work so special.

But my journey into photography wasn’t always the plan.

Before becoming a full-time photographer, I worked in the hospital system. Like many people, the experience of COVID shifted a lot of things for me,  how I viewed work, time, and what truly mattered.

It made me realize how important it was to spend more time with my family and to pursue something that truly filled my heart. Photography had always been something I loved, but taking the leap to turn it into a full-time career felt both exciting and a little scary.

Eventually I decided to go all in.

What started as a creative outlet quickly grew into something so much bigger. Today, photography allows me to meet incredible people, capture meaningful moments, and create artwork that families will treasure for years to come.

And honestly… I can’t imagine doing anything else.

Why Connection Matters So Much to Me

When people think about photography sessions, they often imagine posing perfectly and smiling for the camera. But the truth is, the moments I love capturing most are the ones that happen naturally.

The laughter between a couple.

A child holding their dog like they’re best friends.

The quiet confidence someone discovers during a boudoir session.

Those real moments are what tell your story.

My goal during every session is to create an environment where you can relax, be yourself, and enjoy the experience. When that happens, the images we create together feel authentic, emotional, and completely unique to you.

Pets Are Family Too

If you spend any time around me, you’ll quickly learn that I have a huge soft spot for animals.

Pets aren’t just pets,  they are family members, adventure partners, and often the heart of the home. That’s why I love including them in sessions whenever possible.

Whether it’s a dog joining their humans for a family session, a pet portrait in the studio, or a goofy behind-the-scenes moment where a dog decides to photobomb everything, those moments are some of my favorites.

I also work closely with local animal rescues and photograph adoptable animals whenever I can. Helping animals in need find loving homes is something that means a lot to me, and photography can play a powerful role in telling their stories and helping them get noticed.

Creating an Experience — Not Just Photos

One thing I want every client to feel when they book a session with me is excitement.

Photography sessions shouldn’t feel stressful or intimidating. They should feel fun, relaxed, and even a little magical.

When you book a session with me, I help guide you through the entire process, from planning the style and location to preparing for your session and selecting your images afterward. Whether it’s a pet portrait, a couples session, a family session, or a boudoir experience, the goal is always the same: creating images that feel meaningful and true to you.

Because years from now, those images become more than just photographs.

They become memories you can hold onto.
