If you're thinking about booking a photography session, it's completely normal to have a few questions before getting started. Whether you're interested in pet photography, lifestyle portraits, boudoir photography, or intimate wedding coverage, understanding what to expect can help make the experience feel even more exciting.
At Coral Konanz Photography, I work with clients across Parkland County, Stony Plain, Spruce Grove, Edmonton, and surrounding Alberta communities, creating relaxed and meaningful photography experiences designed to capture real connection and authentic moments.
Here are some of the most common questions I receive before booking a session.

Every session is designed to feel comfortable, relaxed, and authentic, allowing genuine emotion and connection to shine through in your images. My goal is to create photographs that not only look beautiful, but also tell the story of your life, your relationships, and the moments that matter most.
Where Do Your Photography Sessions Take Place?
Photography sessions can take place in a variety of locations depending on the type of session you choose and the style of images you're hoping to create.
Pet portraits are often photographed in my Stony Plain pet studio, which is designed to create beautiful, timeless images while keeping pets comfortable and safe. The studio allows us to focus on your pet’s personality without distractions, creating clean, classic portraits that truly highlight who they are.
I also offer outdoor photography sessions throughout Parkland County, Stony Plain, Spruce Grove, and the Edmonton area, where we can take advantage of natural landscapes, soft evening light, and beautiful scenery to create relaxed and natural portraits.
For certain sessions, I also love working in some beautiful studio spaces in Edmonton that I regularly rent. These studios offer unique lighting, textures, and environments that are perfect for lifestyle sessions, branding photography, boudoir sessions, and creative portraits.
I’m also happy to travel throughout the Edmonton region, up to one hour away with no travel fees, making it easy to plan sessions in nearby communities and scenic locations.
Planning an adventure or special outing and want photos along the way? I love that too. Whether it’s a walk in the forest, a session at the lake, exploring the mountains, or documenting a meaningful location, I’m always excited to create a photography session that feels like an experience.
If you’re unsure which location would work best for your session, I’m always happy to suggest beautiful spots around Parkland County and the Edmonton area that will help bring your vision to life.
Do You Photograph Pets of All Kinds?
Absolutely! While many people book sessions for their dogs, I photograph pets of all kinds. Every animal has their own personality and story, and capturing that through professional photography is something I truly love.
Over the years I’ve photographed everything from cats and rabbits to reptiles and birds, and each session is tailored to make sure your pet feels comfortable and safe.
How Do I Book a Photography Session?
Booking your session is simple. The best way to get started is by visiting my contact page and sending me a message with a few details about the session you're interested in.
From there we can talk about:
- the type of session you’re looking for
- available dates
- locations
- and which photography package might be the best fit for you.
What If I’m Not Sure Which Package to Choose?
That’s completely okay. Many clients aren’t sure which package will work best for their session when they first reach out.
If you’re unsure which option is the best fit, just send me a message and I’ll help guide you through the choices. Together we can find the package that will best capture your story and create the experience you're looking for.
When Will I Receive My Photos?
After your session, your images will be carefully edited and delivered through a private online gallery where you’ll be able to view and select your favorite images. I take the time to thoughtfully edit each photo to ensure the final images reflect the emotion, connection, and beauty captured during your session.
Your gallery will be delivered within 4 weeks or less after your session. Once your gallery is ready, you’ll receive a link that allows you to easily select your included images, download your photos, and share them with family and friends.
Your online gallery also gives you the option to order professional-quality prints, albums, and custom artwork, allowing you to turn your images into something tangible that you can enjoy in your home every day.
My goal is not only to deliver beautiful photographs, but also to create images that become lasting memories you can look back on for years to come.
What Should I Expect During My Photography Session?
My goal during every session is to create a relaxed, enjoyable experience where you can feel comfortable being yourself. Whether you’re booking a pet photography session, lifestyle portrait, maternity session, boudoir experience, or family session, I guide you through the process so you never have to worry about what to do in front of the camera.
Sessions are designed to feel natural rather than overly posed. I’ll provide gentle direction when needed, but I also focus on capturing real moments, genuine emotion, and authentic connection. For pet sessions, I allow plenty of time for your animal to get comfortable and let their personality shine. Treats, toys, and patience go a long way in creating images that truly reflect who they are.
During lifestyle, maternity, or family sessions, we’ll focus on movement, interaction, and connection rather than stiff poses. For boudoir sessions, I guide you through every pose step by step so you can feel confident and empowered throughout the entire experience.
Most sessions feel more like spending time together and creating memories than a traditional photoshoot. By the end, many clients tell me they were surprised by how fun and relaxed the experience felt.
My goal is to create an environment where you feel comfortable, confident, and free to simply enjoy the moment, because that’s when the most meaningful photographs happen.
